The Journal of Problem-Based Learning is an interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary professional journal showcasing innovation and best practice in Learning and Teaching methods consistent with preparation for contemporary professional practice across a range of contexts.

Article topics can be any areas related to problem-based learning (PBL) and similar approaches to learning and teaching (e.g., involving student-centered learning, inquiry, development of abilities-based educational practices, situation, or solutions-based frameworks) that facilitate the development of a suite of metacognitive and process-oriented abilities. In addition, we are interested in scholarly papers that report on the paradigm shifts in education - experiences with and developments in educational philosophy, curriculum design, and implementation across different professions, countries, contexts, and cultures.
